Michael J. Gugliotti brings more than three decades of combined public safety, law enforcement, security operations, leadership, and executive management experience to the development of the Hospitality Security Operating System (HSOS). 

His career began in law enforcement, where he served in progressively responsible frontline, supervisory, and executive leadership positions, ultimately retiring as the Chief of Police of a 300-member law enforcement agency. Throughout his law enforcement career, he gained extensive experience in: 

• operational command,  

• crisis management,  

• leadership accountability,  

• policy development,  

• organizational oversight,  

• risk management,  

• emergency response,  

• and governance-based decision-making.  

Following his law enforcement career, Mr. Gugliotti transitioned into the private security industry, where he spent nearly fifteen years serving in supervisory, management, and executive security leadership roles, including Security Manager and Director of Security positions within complex private security sectors. 

Through this combined experience in both public-sector law enforcement and private-sector security operations, he identified significant operational gaps commonly affecting the contract physical security industry, including: 

• inconsistent operational standards,  

• lack of governance oversight,  

• insufficient executive visibility,  

• weak accountability systems,  

• inadequate documentation practices,  

• inconsistent training programs,  

• and the absence of structured operational governance frameworks.  

Recognizing the need for a more professional, accountable, and governance-driven operational model, Mr. Gugliotti designed and developed the Hospitality Security Operating System (HSOS) as a comprehensive operational governance ecosystem intended to elevate the professionalism, structure, accountability, and effectiveness of hospitality security operations.
